100 Years of Scouting Celebrated at Preswick
Thomas Labayewski, Field Director for Revolutionary Trails Council BSA, spoke to Preswick residents and relatives on March 12th about the history of scouting in the Mohawk Valley.
Several Preswick proud parents and grandparents, including a few past Eagle Scouts and a Life Scout, shared tales about their scouting experiences, and a slide show brought back fond memories for many.
Lots of popular items, including 1935 World's Fair scouting memorabilia, an original First Scout Charter, and 1976 Bicentennial uniforms worn during the rededication at Fort Stanwix, were also on display.
